When I have finished sculpting my character I was eager to put together a progress pipeline in order to see how far I've come and evaluate the result. I have to say, that despite taking a very long time to sculpt the anatomically correct and proportionate character, as a first resolved work it looks fairly okay.
The thing that is upsetting me the most is that I didn't manage to meet the project's brief ( to create a ready to use character for a game). After finishing the sculpt I was supposed to sculpt clothes for the character, meeting project's theme. Later export the model and retepologize it in Maya. I left texturing task open ( if there will be time).
Unfortunately, I have encountered computer issues during this project and was thrown out of balance. After the problem was utilized I managed to finish the sculpt and start sculpting clothes but my laptop started to crash again. I completely stopped sculpting process and focused more on ideas development in RVJ. It got to a point where I had to take a brake every half hour to let my computer cool down. Which was extremely annoying. Now it really sounds like I'm making excuses now.
That's where my sculpting stopped.
Before that I did an experiment poly sketch. The technique that an artist Marcello Baldari used. I find this type of sketching quite interesting.
I have asked for a feedback regarding the final sculpt. I have received quite a few good and helpful responses such as Brad's, where he said that there was something off with character's ankles. And I have been looking for hours guessing what was wrong with the sculpt. I have resolved that.
